Two Italian Youth Arraigned In Court After Swieqi Car Vandalism

Two Italian youth were taken to court today, accused of vandalism in Swieqi.
This comes after six Italian nationals were arrested at Malta International Airport this past week.
The arrests follow an investigation into damage caused to several vehicles belonging to residents in the area.
Swieqi Deputy Mayor Jordan Galea Pace had taken to social media to reveal that four vehicles belonging to four different residents and families were damaged during the incident.
CCTV footage captured a group of men walking through a residential street in Swieqi. In the footage, one of the men appears to strike the side-view mirror of a parked car before the group continues walking down the road.
‘Our country is nobody’s playground’, said Minister for Home Affairs Glenn Bedingfield.
