Two Grievously Injured After Separate Road Accidents

Two persons have been taken to Mater Dei Hospital after they were injured in two separate accidents.

The first accident took place at 1130hrs in Vjal l-Indipendenza, Mosta. Investigations showed that a 65 year old woman resident of Ħaż-Żebbuġ had been hit by a Honda motorcycle driven by a 33 year old man resident of San Ġwann.

The second accident took place at around 1645hrs in Triq Sant’Andrija, Pembroke. Investigations showed that a crash had taken place between a Toyota Yaris Cross driven by a 35 year old man resident of Mosta and a Benelli motorcycle driven by a 27 year old man resident of Imsida.

A medical team was called on site for both accidents, with the 65 year old woman and the 27 year old man transported to hospital. They were both certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
