Two Elderly Persons Injured After Vehicle Flips Onto Side In St Paul’s Bay

A 65 year old woman resident of St Paul’s Bay and a 75 year old man resident of Mellieħa were taken to Mater Dei Hospital this morning at around 1100hrs after they were involved in a traffic accident in Triq Burmarrad, St Paul’s Bay.
Preliminary investigations showed that the woman had been driving a Toyota Funcargo and lost control, with the vehicle flipping onto its side.
Both were given medical attention, with Civil Protection officials helping on site along with a medical team. At hospital, the woman was certified to have suffered light injuries and the man suffered grievous injuries.
Investigations are still ongoing.
