Two Dutch Men Arrested For Allegedly Trafficking Ketamine, Amphetamine & More

Two Dutch men were arrested on Monday afternoon in Swieqi after investigations related to drug importation and trafficking.
The investigation earlier this year led to the arraignment of a person charged with drug importation, and it continued when this week two men aged 34 and 38 respectively were arrested.
During a search of one of the men's residence in the same locality, police seized various items related to drug use, as well as around 890g of a substance suspected to be amphetamine and 550g of a substance suspected to be ketamine.
A search was also carried out at the other suspect's residence in Ħal Kirkop, where officers found additional items linked to drug use, pink tablets, a packet containing a substance allegedly identified as cocaine, and a number of forged documents.
The two men are being held at the Police lock-up and are expected to be arraigned in court today at around 10.30am before Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech.
