Two Cats & One Dog Rescued From Żebbuġ Apartment Fire

Yesterday afternoon, Civil Protection Malta firefighters from Stations 1 and 4 responded to a fire in the common area of a block of apartments in Żebbuġ.
The thick smoke reportedly quickly spread throughout the building, prompting evacuation of residents as firefighters brought the flames under control.
During the operation, one elderly resident was safely rescued using the turntable ladder.
The firefighters also rescued two cats and one dog. Once the fire was extinguished, crews carried out ventilation and cooling operations to remove the remaining smoke and eliminate any risk of re-ignition.
Thankfully no injuries were reported.
