Twelve Maltese Citizenships Revoked Between 2020 – 2025

During a parliamentary question and answer session, Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment Byron Camilleri provided figures showing that between 1 January 2020 and 15 October 2025, a total of 12 individuals were stripped of their Maltese citizenship.
Seven revocations occurred in 2020, followed by three in 2021, while no cases were recorded in either 2022 or 2023. In both 2024 and up to 15 October 2025, one revocation was registered each year.
