Tumas Cassar Street Completed As Part Of Gozo 100-Street Upgrade Plan

The Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, has announced the completion of Tumas Cassar Street in Għarb, marking the third of 100 residential streets in Gozo that the Government has pledged to upgrade within three years.
Minister Camilleri emphasised the collaborative approach, stating, “We will continue to work hand in hand with our Local Councils, the Water Services Corporation, and Enemalta to strengthen both service infrastructure and improve streets, creating better residential surfaces across the island of Gozo.

This is the third of one hundred. We will continue so that over the next three years we will complete all of them.”
On Tumas Cassar Street, over 2,400 square metres of tarmac were laid. Services were upgraded, including two new water mains to supply local residences, the introduction of the New Water service, and improvements to electricity mains.
A new cable was also installed to supply power generated by photovoltaic panels installed by the Għarb Local Council.

Għarb Mayor David Apap expressed gratitude to the Ministry for investing in Gozo’s infrastructure, ensuring all communities have access to modern facilities.
Minister Camilleri concluded by reaffirming the Government’s commitment to this ambitious plan of upgrading streets across Gozo for the benefit of both residents and visitors, while thanking the Ombudsman for their support in ensuring the project’s timely completion.
