Trump Poses With Ronaldo At White House Desk

In a post on social media, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo posed alongside his future wife Georgina with President of the United States Donald Trump at the White House Oval Office desk.

He thanked the president for what he described as a ‘warm welcome.’

‘Each of us has something meaningful to give, and I stand ready to do my part as we inspire new generations to build a future defined by courage, responsibility and lasting peace’, he wrote.

Cristiano Ronaldo attended a black tie dinner at the White House on Tuesday evening alongside Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Speaking before the event, US President Donald Trump described it as an honour to host the Portuguese footballer, whose high profile role in the Saudi Pro League has made him a prominent figure in the kingdom’s wider modernisation efforts.

‘‘My son got to meet Ronaldo’, said the US President. ‘I think he respects his dad a little bit more now.’
