TRIQ TA’ KLULA IN SANTA LUĊIJA GOZO COMPLETED AS PART OF 100-ROAD RESIDENTIAL PLAN

Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri has announced the completion of works on Triq ta’ Klula, marking the 10th residential road finished as part of a broader plan to complete 100 residential streets in Gozo over the next three years.
During a site visit, Minister Camilleri explained that the project not only gave the road a fresh new surface but also included key infrastructure interventions that will have a lasting impact on service reliability and sustainability in the area.
“Attention was also given to the New Water infrastructure,” he said. “Triq ta’ Klula, which covers 1,500 square metres, is now being used again by the local community. At the same time, extensive works are ongoing on Triq l-Arċisqof Pietru Pace, Triq Marsalforn between Marsalforn and Rabat, within Marsalforn itself, and further projects will begin in the coming days. We are committed to completing all 100 residential roads over the next three years, one after the other. Triq ta’ Klula is the 10th.”
Key interventions included relocating the potable water pipeline underground to strengthen service safety and reliability, as well as installing infrastructure for the future New Water project to support sustainable water use in agriculture. Consolidation work was also carried out on the road’s retaining wall to ensure long-term structural stability and safety of the rural passage.
Minister Camilleri concluded by highlighting that the project reflects the Ministry’s vision of investing in safer, more efficient, and resilient roads that directly benefit local communities, in line with broader goals of sustainable development and rural infrastructure modernisation in Gozo.
