Tributes Pour In For Father & Son Who Died In Ramla Bay

Tributes have been pouring in for a British father and son who tragically drowned while on holiday in Gozo. Mohammad Qadoos, aged 37, and his 11-year-old son Ayan lost their lives after getting into difficulty while swimming at Ramla Bay on Monday afternoon.
An Armed Forces of Malta helicopter was deployed shortly after 1.15pm in an attempt to rescue them. Ayan was pulled from the water but was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an extensive sea and air search, Mohammad’s body was recovered two days later between San Blas and Ramla Bay.
Friends and relatives from both the UK and Pakistan have flooded social media with messages of grief and remembrance.
Many described Mohammad as a devoted father and kind-hearted friend, sharing a photograph he had posted just days before the tragedy overlooking the Mediterranean. One friend called it a “heartbreaking final memory.”
Mohammad’s wife was on the beach at the time with their two younger children. Family members have since travelled to Malta to be with her. Authorities have confirmed that a magisterial inquiry is underway.
