Travelling To The UK? KM Malta Airlines Flights Hit By Cancellations Following Air Traffic Control Issues

KM Malta Airlines has apologised to passengers affected by flight cancellations to and from London on Tuesday, 8th September, following technical system failures affecting the UK’s NATS air traffic control systems.
The disruption affected numerous airlines and forced the cancellation of one return flight between Malta and London Heathrow, as well as another return operation between Malta and London Gatwick.
The airline said the cancellations came during an exceptionally busy travel period, with Malta’s public holiday, major entertainment events and the end of the summer holiday period contributing to high demand.
As a result, KM Malta Airlines said it cannot offer alternative flights for the remainder of this week, as most services are fully booked.
Affected passengers can contact customer services on +356 21356000 to explore alternative dates or routes.
Passengers who no longer wish to travel can request a full refund through the airline’s website.
Services are expected to resume as planned from Wednesday, although delays may occur.
