TRANSPORT MALTA ISSUES INSTRUCTIONS AS THOUSANDS SET TO TAKE PART IN PUTTINU’S ANNUAL GOOD FRIDAY WALKATHON

Transport Malta has issued guidance ahead of the 21st edition of the Good Friday night walk in aid of Puttinu Cares, set to take place on the night of 2nd to 3rd April 2026.
The annual event will see thousands of participants walking from Mellieħa Parish Square to the Granaries in Floriana between midnight and 7:00am. Transport Malta officials will be present along the route to ensure safety and smooth management of the event.
Authorities have urged all members of the public to follow instructions and show respect to participants throughout the walk. Road closures and safety measures will be in place to support the event, which has become a significant occasion in Malta’s calendar.
The night walk not only promotes community engagement but also raises funds for Puttinu Cares, supporting cancer patients and their families across the island. Participants and spectators alike are encouraged to cooperate with officials to make the event a safe and successful experience for all.
