Transport Malta Announces New Opening Hours

As from Wednesday, 1st October 2025, the customer service offices of Transport Malta in Paola and Lija will open from 09:30hrs until 14:30hrs. For those who may not be able to attend during these hours, a deposit facility will also be introduced.

This will allow customers to leave their applications in secure boxes located at the Lija or Marsa offices, to be collected either on the same day or the following day.

This schedule change is being implemented to reduce traffic during the morning peak hours and also forms part of the Authority’s plan to accelerate the digitalisation of the services offered to the public. In fact, later this year, an online booking system will be introduced.

Starting in 2026, all services involving transactions will need to be carried out online either on the Transport Malta website, through insurance companies, or at Servizz.gov hubs.
