Transplant Support Group Malta Launches Fun Walk to Raise Awareness on Organ Donation

The Transplant Support Group – Malta is organising a Fun Walk (V0/0025) with the aim of raising awareness about organ donation and transplantation, promoting a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, and strengthening solidarity among transplant recipients, donors, their families, healthcare professionals, and the wider community.

The initiative also seeks to provide information and education on the importance of organ donation, disease prevention, and post-transplant wellbeing, all within an inclusive and supportive environment.

All registration fees collected during the Fun Walk will go directly towards supporting the work and initiatives of the group. These include:

• Educational campaigns and awareness programmes on organ donation and transplantation

• Support activities and resources for transplant patients and their families

• Health and wellbeing initiatives for transplant recipients

• Community engagement events and awareness activities

• Partial coverage of logistical and organisational costs related to the event

Any remaining funds will be reinvested into future awareness and support initiatives organised by the Transplant Support Group, ensuring continued assistance for patients and education for the public on the vital importance of organ donation.

The Fun Walk represents both an opportunity to take part in a healthy and engaging community activity and a chance to contribute to a cause that saves lives and strengthens the support network for transplant recipients across Malta.
