Traffic Gridlocks In St Julian’s & Swieqi ‘Not A One Off’ Says Deputy Mayor

In a video shared to social media, Swieqi Deputy Mayor Jordan Galea Pace showed the traffic gridlocks that commuters are facing in St Julian’s and Swieqi.
These are not one-offs, said Galea Pace. ‘As Deputy Mayor of Swieqi, I ask again:’
‘When will the Swieqi junction project move forward? From what we have last seen, it has been shelved; Where is the traffic management plan for the new towers in St Julian’s that are almost complete?; When will the St Andrew’s hairpin near the Red Cross be opened to help reduce congestion in the area?; Robert Abela tells us that after the next general election, discussions on a mass transportation system will begin.’
Galea Pace said that Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg has committed to seeing the first mass transport system within the first legislature installed.
‘We cannot keep waiting, stuck in traffic and frustrated. We need real solutions. We need real change.’
