TRAFFIC ACCIDENT ON SUNDAY CAUSES MSIDA TUNNEL STANDSTILL

A 33-year-old motorcyclist from Marsascala was reportedly taken to hospital after a traffic accident in Msida on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the motorcycle allegedly crashed into a wall inside the Qroqq tunnels along Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and the rider was reportedly transported to hospital for further treatment.
Footage shared online showed smoke filling the tunnel following the crash, with vehicles halted as traffic came to a standstill.
Investigations are ongoing.
