Tourists Who Get €200+ On The Spot Fine Can Be Forced To Leave Malta Earlier

In a video statement, Minister for Home Affairs Glenn Bedingfield has announced that a new legal advice has been published wherein any tourist who gets an on the spot fine going over €200 can have their case referred to the Principal Immigration Officer.
If the officer finds that the actions of the tourist is deemed dangerous to the rest of the public, the person can be removed before their holiday ends.
Bedingfield said that most of the tourists that visit Malta are welcomed and respect the country, but some of them do not always abide by the law.
