'Too Many Choices Ruin Our Ability To Feel Content', Says Sean Gravina

In a post sharing his ‘post-hurricane’ thoughts, chef Sean Gravina reflected on how having too many choices are ‘ruining our ability to feel content.’

‘Unlimited options, unlimited content, unlimited noise. We thought it would give us freedom, but in reality it is creating the perfect storm for dissatisfaction’, wrote Sean.

‘Too many options steal our peace. Think about something simple like Netflix. How often do we sit down and spend 20 or 30 minutes just choosing what to watch.’

‘Years ago, we would sit on the sofa, turn on Italia Uno, and whatever was on, we watched it. And we relaxed. No pressure. No optimisation. No fear of missing out. We are in a quiet war for attention and contentment. No one is coming to save us. The responsibility is ours.’

‘There are ways to fight back, but they require discipline, mental strength, and intention. I am far from where I want to be, but I am much better than I was three years ago. I am learning to control instead of consume.’

What do you think?
