Together For Mental Health: Awareness Walk Held In Valletta

The Prime Minister’s wife, Dr Lydia Abela, Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg and Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli joined a walk through the streets of Valletta to raise awareness about mental health.

The walk, organised by the National Mental Health Services Malta, brought people together to spread a powerful message of support, unity and understanding.

Leading the walk through Malta’s capital, participants carried a banner reading “Together for Mental Health”, highlighting the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

The event came just a day after World Mental Health Day, marked annually on 10th October, serving as another reminder that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health.

Above all, the message was simple: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and nobody should feel ashamed to speak up or seek support when they need it.
