Today Is Harry Potter Book Day

Calling all Potterheads!

Harry Potter Book Day is here, giving fans of the wizarding world the perfect excuse to revisit Hogwarts, pick up their favourite book and celebrate all things Harry Potter.

The annual celebration takes place on 8 October, bringing fans together to celebrate the books that introduced millions of readers to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the magical world they grew up in.

The day was originally known as Harry Potter Book Night when it launched in 2014, before being renamed Harry Potter Book Day in 2023.

This year's theme is ‘Spells and Potions’, giving fans the chance to dive back into some of the magical moments, characters and stories from the books.

Whether you're rereading your favourite Harry Potter book, watching the films, dressing up as your favourite character or simply spending the day reminiscing about your Hogwarts house, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

And let's be honest, there's never really a bad day for a little bit of magic.
