TikTok Recreates Aidan’s Bella With Maltese Election Politics

A video shared to TikTok by karl.fenech has recreated Aidan’s BELLA but based around Maltese electoral politics.

The video has Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition Leader Alex Borg dressed in Aidan’s iconic garb, with the song lyrics changed to ‘Elf Wegħda’ (1,000 Proposals).

The video also shows Finance Minister Clyde Caruana and former PN Leader Adrian Delia dressed in similar garb, along with Lydia Abela and Sarah Bajada dancing.

This comes not only ahead of Malta’s Eurovision performance tonight but even as election fever intensifies, having hit over the mid-way point.

This is not the first time electoral candidates have been AI rendered, and although (probably) created in good fun, these videos may raise questions about electoral influence and how far AI should go when it comes to political issues.
