Three Arrested In Mosta Drug Bust As Police Seize €160,000 Worth Of Alleged Cocaine

Three people were arrested in Mosta on Friday afternoon following a police investigation into alleged drug trafficking, which led to the seizure of around 1.3kg of a substance suspected to be cocaine with an estimated street value of €160,000.
Police said they had been conducting surveillance in recent days on a 31-year-old man believed to be the main suspect in the case.
Investigators allegedly observed a number of suspicious movements, particularly during the night.
The suspect was reportedly seen leaving a residence in Triq Grognet on several occasions and visiting an apartment in Triq Rużar Briffa, where the two other suspects, a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, are alleged to reside.
Searches carried out at both properties led to the discovery of the suspected cocaine, as well as various items allegedly linked to drug trafficking, including mobile phones and jewellery.
Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia has been informed of the case and appointed an inquiry. The suspects remain in police custody and are expected to be arraigned in the coming days. Investigations are ongoing.
