Thousands of locals took to the streets of Malta to participate in processions celebration the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.
Footage shared by Ġimgħa l-Kbira Mosta - Grupp Organiżżattiv shows the statue for the feast, depicting the Holy Mary in mourning as locals walk along in this time of deep spiritual reflection for many Christians.
Other photos taken from above show the large crowds that gathered for the procession. This despite the weather not being favourable in the slightest.
