Hundreds of people filled the streets of Valletta on Saturday evening to participate in the Malta Pride March 2025, organised by Allied Rainbow Communities (ARC).

The colourful procession began at the Triton Fountain, where speeches officially kicked off the event, before winding through the capital’s main streets.

Floats, banners, and DJs added to the vibrant atmosphere as participants marched past Castille, Merchants Street, and St George’s Square, concluding near Parliament. This year’s Pride focused on themes of love, diversity, and equality.

Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition Leader Alex Borg joined the crowds, carrying a giant rainbow flag alongside other revellers.

In a statement, the Labour Party highlighted Malta’s progress over the past 12 years, noting that the country now ranks at the top for LGBTIQ+ rights. They also emphasised ongoing initiatives such as the LGBTIQ+ Wellbeing service and plans for a community centre in Valletta to provide safe spaces and practical support for the community.

The Nationalist Party affirmed its commitment to standing “shoulder to shoulder” with the LGBTQIA+ community, promoting dignity, equality, and freedom, and recognising that a fairer society is built when every individual can live authentically and without fear.
