Thousands Flock to Malta for Hoopla Malta’s Spectacular Debut Festival

Hoopla Malta made history this past weekend as the UK’s most beloved pop, dance, and queer festival touched down on our shores and it proved to be nothing short of a resounding success.
Thousands of festival-goers gathered across Malta’s most iconic venues for three days of glittering performances, euphoric singalongs, and unforgettable moments that firmly placed Malta at the centre of the global festival map.
The festival weekend opened with dance music legend Ultra Naté at Café del Mar before heading to Gianpula Village on Saturday, where Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne, took to the stage with a fierce solo set that will go down in history. Sporty Spice herself Mel C, presented a catalogue of bangers turned the venue into celebration of pure pop nostalgia while Malta’s own Miriana Conte wowed the Hoopla crowd with astounding vocals and stage presence.
On Sunday, the party spilled over to Armier Beach where international drag icon and TV star Trixie Mattel transformed the shoreline into a camp, glitter-soaked spectacle.
With a mix of global icons, homegrown talent, and spectacular Maltese backdrops, Hoopla Malta delivered an inclusive, joyful, and high-energy celebration that exceeded all expectations and set a new standard for festivals on the island.
