Things We’re Definitely Not Going To Miss About Summer In Malta

Summer might be over, and while we’re going to miss the beach, there are definitely a few things we’re happy to leave behind.
1. Getting into a car that feels like an oven
Especially when you forgot to put the sunshade up.
2. Sweating immediately after having a shower
Possibly the most annoying feeling of the entire Maltese summer.
3. Trying to sleep without the AC
Five minutes in and suddenly you’re questioning every life decision you’ve ever made.
4. Touching the steering wheel at 2PM
Basically a health and safety hazard.
5. Humidity at 8AM
Nothing like starting the day already feeling sticky.
6. Mosquitoes ruining perfectly good evenings
One minute you’re enjoying dinner outside, the next you’re fighting for your life.
7. Sand absolutely everywhere
In the car, in your shoes, in your bag, somehow in your bed three days later.
8. The traffic to every beach on a Sunday
Sometimes the swim just isn’t worth the journey.
9. Trying to find parking near the sea
Yeah, good luck with that.
10. Putting sunscreen on just to sweat it off
Repeat every two hours for maximum frustration.
11. The electric bill anxiety
AC on. AC off. AC on again. Regret everything.
12. Walking outside at midday
That first blast of heat when you leave an air-conditioned building deserves a weather warning.
We’ll miss summer, sure, but not every part of it.
What’s one thing about Maltese summer you’re definitely NOT going to miss?
