Notably, Malta had the highest average number of rooms per person in 2024, with 2.2 rooms per person.
7.8% of persons were unable to keep their home adequately warm in 2024, with Malta having the third highest shares for flats at 63%. Meanwhile, 36.6% were house owners and 0.3% lived in houseboats, camping vans, etc.
68.1% of Maltese owned their home, whereas 31.9% rented it in 2024.
