According to information tabled in parliament, there have been 222 cases of domestic violence reported in 2026 so far, up until July 13th.

Between 2021 and the same date in 2026, there have been a total of 1,606. Last year, 2025, there were 541 total cases reported, up from 2024’s total 425.

Meanwhile, Minister for Justice Clifton Grima reported that there are currently three magistrates working domestic violence related cases.
