There Comes A Time One Must Take A Position Because His Conscience Tells Him It’s Right, Says Alex Borg

‘There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor political, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right’, wrote Alex Borg in a statement on social media.

This comes ahead of a mass meeting at Fosos to mark the celebrations of Malta’s Independence, with Borg set to address supporters in attendance.

The statement also comes in the midst of the recent ruling of Yorgen Fenech being found not guilty in the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The PN has been putting pressure on the government to implement the findings of the public inquiry into the assassination, with Borg calling for more transparency from the government’s side.

It is still unclear if this statement is in reference to these recent developments, with the government insisting that the investigations are continuing and the institutions working to continue said investigations into the assassination.
