There Are 30 Dogs Operating With The Police Force

Responding to a parliamentary question, Minister Byron Camilleri revealed that there are 30 dog officers operating with the Malta Police Force’s Canine Division.
Two were retired recently but are still taken care of by members of the same section.
Camilleri said that it is difficult to predict when a dog is set to be retired as it depends on various factors such as the dog’s health, as well as their activity on the job.
The question was tabled by PN MP Ivan Bartolo.
