The ‘Paw Walk in Memory of Jake Vella’ Will Take Place On The 14th Of December 2025

The ‘Paw Walk in Memory of Jake Vella’ will be on the 14th of December 2025 at 10:00am. The annual event will be held in honour of the late Jake, with all collected funds going to the Abandoned Animals Association Malta.

Alicia Bugeja Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Animal Rights, along with Jake Vella’s family, announced the details of the event.

The walk is a show of solidarity and love, in memory of a young boy who left a great impact on the community before sadly passing away from the rare condition known as ROHHAD.

Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said praised the initiative stating that she “met Jake for the first time four years ago. A boy who inspired those around him and was always at the front to help animals as much as he can, despite the suffering he was going through.”

Jake;s family invited the public to join on the 14th of December for the “walk around mater Dei which meant so much to him.”

Everyone in attendance who has dogs is encouraged to bring them along.
