The Malta Skills Championships Are Putting Young Talent In The Spotlight

When people think of competitions, sport is often the first thing that comes to mind. However, across Malta, a new generation of talented young people is preparing to compete in a different arena by showcasing their practical skills, creativity and expertise.
The Malta Skills Championships 2026 will bring together students and young professionals from a wide range of skill areas, creating a national platform where dedication and technical ability take centre stage.
Organised by WorldSkills Malta, led by the National Skills Council, the event aims to celebrate skills excellence and encourage more young people to explore practical and technical careers.

From hospitality and technology to engineering, creative fields and skilled trades, the championships will highlight the abilities that support industries, strengthen communities and drive innovation.
Participants will compete in real-world challenges designed to test the knowledge and experience they have developed through months and years of preparation.
The event also provides visitors with the opportunity to discover different professions and understand the career paths available through vocational education and training.
Students, families, educators and employers will be able to watch competitors demonstrate their skills while meeting some of Malta’s emerging talent.
Want to see these skills in action?
