The Malta Police Cyber Crime Unit successfully completed an operation targeting child sexual abuse material.
Officers confiscated 14 electronic devices, such as laptips, mobiles, and flash drives. One suspect was also arrested.
The operation took place after receiving referrals from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The Cyber Crime Unit officers were assisted by the non-profit organisation ‘Our Rescue’ who offered forensic tools, specialised training, and operational expertise.
In a post to their Facebook, The Malta Police Force shared details about the operation, concluding that they are “fully committed to safeguarding children and pursuing those who exploit them.”
