The Malta Chamber Of SMEs Launches 5th Edition Of Malta Business Awards

The Malta Chamber of SMEs and Malta Enterprise have launched the fifth edition of the Malta Business Awards, a national initiative recognising excellence across Malta’s business community.
This year’s edition features 20 awards, with businesses invited to apply through
www.maltabusinessawards.mt. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30th June 2026.
The awards are divided into three categories: Distinct Initiatives, Innovative and Sustainable Initiatives, and Celebrating Business.
These recognise achievements in wellbeing, social impact, customer service, culture, sustainability, digital innovation, tourism, and overall performance.
The adjudication process has two phases. In Phase 1, each adjudicator independently reviews and scores all applications, contributing 50 per cent of the total mark.
In Phase 2, the top five applicants in each category are shortlisted and invited to an interview with the adjudication committee. Final scores combine both phases.
Finalists will be announced on 7th September, and the Gala Night will take place on 20th November 2025. At the launch, Malta Chamber of SMEs President Mr Paul Abela said the awards showcase Maltese business success.
Malta Enterprise CEO Mr George Gregory highlighted the integrity of the process, while SME Chamber COO Mr Andrew Aquilina noted that applications are free and previous editions received over 1,500 entries.
Categories include SME of the Year, Start-Up of the Year, Young Entrepreneur, Female Entrepreneur, Family Business, and sector awards in innovation, sustainability, tourism, and social impact.
Partners include Malta Enterprise, Malta Vision, government ministries, Malta International Airport, and national organisations.
