Local

The traditional motorcycle pilgrimage in Malta has a long and proud history, dating back to 1st September 1951. On the eve of the Coronation, 250 motorcyclists embarked on a journey of faith from Saqqajja, Rabat, to Ħaż-Żabbar, marking the very first official pilgrimage of its kind.

By 1955, bicycles had also joined the event, adding to the growing spirit of devotion and community. Today, the pilgrimage continues to unite participants from across the island, celebrating faith, camaraderie, and a shared love of this unique tradition.
