The Government Promises To Help Your Boss Increase Your Wage

The government is set to introduce a new scheme aimed at helping private companies raise the salaries of long-serving employees, as part of an expansion of the MicroInvest programme.
Under the initiative, Malta Enterprise will fund up to 65% of salary increases for staff who have been with the same company for more than four years, with the subsidy capped at €780 per year.
Companies based in Gozo will benefit from even more generous terms, with the government covering up to 80% of the pay rise, capped at €960 per year.
In addition, the government also announced that it will continue supporting small businesses by raising the maximum micro-investment benefit from €45,000 per year to €65,000 in Malta, and to €80,000 per year in Gozo.
