The Euro Bank Notes That Truly Represent The European Experience, Says Tiktoker

‘If the European Central Bank truly wants banknotes that represent us, they need to look at our actual daily life’, wrote TikTok user eufront.

This comes ahead of the European Central Bank (ECB) unveiling 10 finalist designs for the next generation of euro banknotes.

European citizens have been invited to have their say on the currency’s future look, with more than 1,200 proposals being considered before the finalists were chosen.

‘What really unites the European Union is the mandatory USB-C charger, the holy morning espresso and cigarette on a café terrace, and plastic water bottles with caps that never detach’, wrote the TikToker. ‘It’s universal healthcare combined with a delightfully relaxed lifestyle, and the shared tragedy of a paper straw disintegrating in a paper cup after thirty minutes.’

‘Put that on the euro bills, and you’ll finally have a currency that reflects the real European experience.’
