The Different Types Of People You’ll Meet In Malta This September

September in Malta is a weird month.

It’s technically autumn, but it’s still 30°C. Summer is supposedly over, yet the beaches are packed. Christmas is months away, but some people are already planning for it.

Naturally, everyone handles September differently.

1. The “Summer Is NOT Over” Person

Still at the beach every weekend, still in flip-flops, and refusing to accept August has ended. Summer finishes sometime around November.

2. The Hoodie Person

One thunderstorm hits and suddenly it’s winter. Hoodie on, windows closed, blanket out. Even though it's still 27°C.

3. The “Finally, Some Routine” Person

After months of festas, holidays and nights out, they’re ready to get organised. A new gym membership, fresh notebooks, meal prepping. But where will they be in 2 weeks?

4. The Christmas Person

September 1st arrives and they’re already asking when Christmas music becomes acceptable.

5. The Walker

After avoiding outdoor exercise all summer, a two-degree temperature drop means the promenades are suddenly calling.

6. The “Best Time Of The Year” Person

Warm sea, great weather and smaller crowds? Ok, they might have a point here.

7. The Traffic Complainer

Schools haven't even restarted and they’re already complaining about Malta’s legendary morning traffic.

8. The Beach Season Denier

28°C? Beach. 25°C and cloudy? Beach. October? That's right, BEACH.

September in Malta is basically one big identity crisis between summer and autumn, and we all fit into at least one category.
