The Brillanti Dance Semifinals Are Officially On Tonight!

Last Wednesday, the 14 semi-finalists of Brillanti Dance 2026 were announced, representing the finest young talent from every corner of Malta, Gozo and beyond. These performers are now ready to compete for the highly coveted title of Brillanti Dance 2026.

The semi-finalists will be judged by a distinguished panel including Brenda Lee Grech, Attila, Sol and Emauele Battista, joined by the English “musical royalty” Ashley Nottingham.

Nottingham is an acclaimed choreographer who was personally chosen by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber as the official choreographer for the 2024 revival of the musical Starlight Express in London.

Next Wednesday marks the first semi-final, where all 14 performers will compete for the chance to advance their dance careers and win a total prize of €30,000.

The opening challenge, “Tell Me a Story”, requires each semi-finalist to select six musical pieces to tell a story, which may include a personal or autobiographical element. Audiences and judges alike are eager to see which stories will captivate and impress.

The pressure will be intense, as two performers who do not impress the judges will face a play-off, and one may be sent home.
