The Big Picnic Party Is Back This Saturday!

Malta Daily’s Big Picnic Party is returning THIS SATURDAY 10TH October, bringing another day of music, community, wellness and outdoor living to the National Park in Ta’ Qali.
Following the success of its debut season last winter, the event is coming back with an even bigger programme as part of NITKELLEM Festival, led by Dr Lydia Abela together with the Government of Malta, focusing on mental health, wellbeing and quality of life.
The upcoming edition will combine movement, relaxation and entertainment, creating a space where people can spend the day outdoors while taking part in activities designed to promote wellbeing.
The morning will feature a range of wellness sessions, including 5K and 10K runs organised in collaboration with Sunday Run Club, yoga led by Sasha Vella, Pilates with Soma Studios and a breath-work session with Neil Agius.
After the morning activities, Malta Daily’s Big Picnic Party will take centre stage, bringing back the relaxed atmosphere that made the event a favourite among attendees.
Visitors can expect music throughout the day, food and drink stalls, plenty of space to chill, dance and picnic, as well as a dedicated children’s play area packed with activities for the little ones.
The kids’ area will include Table Soccer, Giant Jenga, Bean Bag Toss, Giant Connect 4, Arcade Basketball, Inflatable Axe Throwing, Bouncy Castles, a Trampoline, Stilt Walkers, Face Painting and Balloon Modelling.
Whether you’re heading down with friends, family or the kids, the idea is simple: bring a picnic blanket, spend the day outdoors and enjoy everything happening around Ta’ Qali.
Registration for the morning wellness activities is available through lydiabela.mt, with a small donation supporting work in the mental health sector, particularly initiatives focused on adolescents.
With music, movement, family activities and plenty of space to switch off, Malta Daily’s Big Picnic Party is shaping up to be a full Saturday out at Ta’ Qali.
