The Barrakka Lift: Then Versus Now

Posted by David Gatt, he shared how him and his father used to often use the lift together back in the day.
The lift in Barrakka started operating around December 1905 and had to suspend its services in 1917 due to a lack of spare parts because of World War I. The lift resumed operations in 1919 after the war ended.
