The Ball Of The August Moon Returns On August 1st

The Ball of the August Moon, one of Malta’s most prestigious charitable events, will take place on Saturday 1st August, at Verdala Castle in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF).

Details of this year’s edition were announced during a press conference, where organisers highlighted the event’s longstanding tradition of offering high-quality food, drinks, and entertainment. Guests will enjoy performances by the Armed Forces of Malta Band, featuring a varied musical repertoire, followed by contemporary music and dancing late into the night.

Addressing those present, Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono described the Ball as one of the MCCF’s most important fundraising events, generating essential funds that enable the Foundation to continue supporting individuals and families facing serious illness and hardship. She appealed for strong public participation to ensure another successful edition.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Marquis Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, recalled that the historic Ball has been held annually since 1958 and stressed that this year’s event will continue to uphold the high standards that have made it a memorable occasion for generations.

MCCF Chairperson Sina Bugeja emphasised the Foundation’s role in providing financial, psychological, and social support to patients and their families, underlining the importance of fundraising efforts.

The event is supported by several sponsors and partners, while photographer Daniel Cilia will produce a commemorative booklet showcasing the beauty of Verdala Castle.
