Take A Look At Gozo Hospital’s New Helipad

Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg shared a photo of Gozo Hospital’s new helipad, which is set to be completed very soon.
The helipad is set to reduce the extra travel time for patients by removing the need for them to be transported to the Xekwija helipad.
As it stands, patients transported from Gozo to Mater Dei via helicopter had to be first transported via ambulance to Xewkija. The ongoing work will reduce the commute time by 10 minutes, which may prove vital for a patient.
The required concrete and cable work, along with other necessary infrastructure, is currently being installed to make this as efficient as possible for patients.
