SUMMERTIME CLASSICS TO BRING AN EVENING OF MUSICAL MAGIC TO CORINTHIA PALACE MALTA

As summer evenings arrive, Corinthia Palace Malta is inviting guests to experience the beauty of music under the stars with its upcoming Summertime Classics event, set to take place at the enchanting Secret Garden.

Combining timeless melodies, vibrant rhythms, and unforgettable compositions, the exceptional 11-piece chamber orchestra promises a journey through centuries of musical brilliance, from the elegance of Baroque and Romantic classics to the passion of tango and the emotion of iconic film scores.

The event will also offer guests an extensive selection of food and beverages, including free-flowing wine, beer and prosecco, alongside a specially curated cocktail menu created by world-renowned Italian chef Francesco Mazzei.

The programme opens with the refreshing energy of Vivaldi’s Spring, before moving through a colourful collection of masterpieces including Strauss’s lively Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, Bach’s elegant Double Concerto, Brahms’s spirited Hungarian Dances, and Bartók’s expressive Romanian Folk Dances.

Guests will also be treated to the cinematic magic of Ennio Morricone’s Cinema Paradiso and Gabriel’s Oboe, alongside Piovani’s uplifting La Vita è Bella. The atmosphere will then shift into the world of tango with Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza and Piazzolla’s iconic Libertango, before culminating in the grand orchestral finale of Strauss’s Blue Danube and Vivaldi’s electrifying Summer (Presto).

Performed by a talented ensemble of local musicians, the outdoor concert will be followed by a standing reception at the Veuve Clicquot Lounge.

Priced at €70, the event offers the perfect summer escape, featuring a live performance by an exceptional 11-piece chamber orchestra, followed by a reception at the Veuve Clicquot Lounge.
