Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri has officially launched the "Summer in Gozo 2026" programme, an extensive cultural programme that is offering a varied calendar of activities across Gozo during the summer months from July to September.

Minister Clint Camilleri stated that this programme is building on the success of previous years with the aim of showcasing the cultural life, beauty and distinctive character of Gozo.

Minister Camilleri went on to say that "although Gozo is known for its natural beauty, our island offers much more than sea and sun. Gozo is a place where culture is alive and we live it every day. We see this in our heritage, in artistic expression, in music, in traditions and above all in the strong sense of identity that distinguishes our communities."

In summer, cultural life in Gozo is felt even more as squares, streets and open spaces are transformed into centres of activity that host concerts, artistic exhibitions, cultural activities and community celebrations.

The Minister stressed that the programme not only enhances the experience of visitors to the island but also contributes to the social and cultural life of residents. He insisted that "through such initiatives, we continue to position Gozo as a destination of quality, authenticity and attraction throughout the year."

Among the main activities of the programme are the traditional Gozitan festivals, which remain a central element in the life of the communities, Hondoq by Night, Closer to the Voice Charles Buttigieg Live, the Gozo Food Festival, Xwejni Music Fest, Opera vs Pop under the Stars, Gozo Ceramic Festival, D Capitals Live at Cittadella, Rock Legends, Exhibition of Farming and Crafts, Gozo Film Festival 2026, Levant Music Fest and the Gozo Puppets Festival.

Minister Clint Camilleri invited all residents and visitors to take part in the activities organised during the summer, arguing that "whether one is looking for music, tradition or artistic expression, the summer in Gozo will offer something for everyone.

He concluded by expressing "hope that this year's programme will continue to bring people together and create memorable moments for all those who choose to spend their summer in Gozo."
