Substantial Progress On 267 Apartment Social Housing Project In Ħal Farruġ

Minister for Housing and Lands Owen Bonnici visited the new housing project currently underway in Ħal Farruġ, which will create 267 new social housing apartments.
The project, covering an area of around 10,000 square metres, represents an investment of approximately €45 million and will include one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, as well as around 300 garages and parking spaces.
During the visit, Minister Bonnici followed the progress being made on the project, which continues to strengthen investment in quality housing and provide more opportunities for vulnerable families to have a secure home that offers dignity and stability.
“A home is not simply four walls. It is security, stability and the place where a family builds its life. That is why an investment of this scale is a direct investment in families and their future,” Minister Bonnici said.
The project forms part of ongoing work to create quality residential spaces that meet the needs of families and communities, while ensuring that more vulnerable families receive the support they need.
Also present during the visit were Permanent Secretary Ramon Deguara, Malita Chief Executive Officer Marlene Attard, Housing Authority Chairman Robert Ducker, Housing Authority Chief Executive Officer Matthew Zerafa, Ħal Luqa Mayor John Schembri and members of the Ħal Luqa Local Council.
