Students Play Songs For Oncology Patients: Raise €3,500

Students from St. Ignatius College, Mikiel Anton Vassalli Secondary School, Tal-Ħandaq came together to give back this Christmas, playing music for patients at the Oncology Centre and raising €3,500 for Puttinu Cares.
‘When the school community became aware that one of our students is currently receiving medical care, the news prompted a strong and immediate response from both staff members and students’, the school wrote.
‘In response, it was proposed that the school band, comprising staff members, students, and parents, would visit SAMOC to bring cheer to patients, their families, and staff. At the same time, a fundraising initiative was launched across the school community in support of Puttinu Cares.’
€3,500 were raised in just a few hours, to be donated to the NGO and show solidarity this festive season.
