STRUCTURE FIRE IN QORMI BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL BY CIVIL PROTECTION MALTA

Civil Protection Malta responded to a structure fire in Qormi yesterday, with firefighters managing to bring the situation under control following a swift intervention.

Firefighters from Fire Station 4 were immediately dispatched to the scene after the alarm was raised. Upon arrival, crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire, successfully preventing it from spreading further.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Following the operation, the Civil Protection Department expressed its gratitude to several entities that assisted during the response. These included the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital, the Malta Police Force, and Enemalta plc, all of whom provided essential support throughout the operation.

The coordinated effort between the different agencies was instrumental in ensuring the fire was managed effectively and safely.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to be carried out.
