Storm Harry Tears Away A Piece Of Filfla, Captured By Local Photographer Dwardu

The strength of the waves born from Storm Harry managed to rip away a piece of Filfa, dragging it back with them.

A local photographer, Dwardu, managed to capture a shot of Filfla after Storm Harry.

He shared the images to his social media, along with the caption “Even Filfla was hit [by Storm Harry] it seems.”

The images were picked up by local weather group ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ who explained that “rough seas and strong waves from yesterday carried away a piece of the island of Filfla and caused the collapse of the Xoqqa Window along the cliffs of Birżebbuġa.”

They continued by also drawing attention to the extensive damage to Għar Lapsi following the storm.

Storm Harry brought about strong winds reaching up to Force 10, resulting in rough seas. Although the worst of the storm is over, people should still be prepared for rain and some gusts of wind here and there.
