St Paul’s Bay Primary School Mourns Tragic Loss of Student and Father in Ġnejna Bay Incident

St Paul’s Bay Primary School is mourning the tragic loss of five-year-old student Logan and his father, Gregory, who lost their lives in a boating incident in Ġnejna Bay during the night.

In a heartfelt message, the school community expressed its profound sadness, describing Logan as a valued member of the school family whose smile, presence, and memories shared with classmates and staff will never be forgotten.

The tragedy occurred shortly after 1am, when police were informed of a collision at sea involving a small dinghy and another boat. Civil Protection Department officials were called to the scene and launched a search operation, eventually recovering the bodies of the father and son from the sea.

Initial investigations indicate that the pair had left another boat anchored offshore and were travelling in the dinghy when the collision occurred. The incident is now the subject of a magisterial inquiry led by Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D, while police investigations remain ongoing.

The school extended its deepest sympathies to Logan’s mother, siblings, family, friends, and all those who knew and loved the father and son.

“May Logan and Gregory rest in eternal peace,” the school said.
